With winter in full force here this sweet little hat will keep the little ones head nice and toasty whilst out and about and look how cute those heart buttons are! (I fell in love with them instantly!) For this pattern i used
Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick & Quick in the colour
Cranberry with some nice
big knitting needles to make this hat super quick and fun.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Darning Needle – To weave in ends
GAUGE:
10 stitches and 14 rows = 4” / 10cm Gauge taken in stockinette stitch
SIZE:
Mini Kids – 1-2 Years
Special Note: This hat is worked in the round Place a marker at the beginning of your work and slip the marker before beginning each round
Pattern
8mm circular needle:
R1. Cast on 40sts, Knit around
R2-R30. Knit around
R31. * K2tog * Repeat around (20sts)
Change to 8mm Dpns:
R32. * K2tog * Repeat around (10sts)
R33. * K2tog * Repeat around (5sts)
Cut yarn leaving a long tail and thread through remaining stitches, pull tight to close hat up and weave in ends. Add 3 buttons to hat and secure.
