Mini Kids Flower Headwarmer – Crochet Pattern
Materials and Tools:
> Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice Yarn – Colour A – Olive – Headwarmer / Any Worsted Weight Yarn – 110 yards

> Darning Needle – To weave in ends
Finished Measurements Approx:
> Toddler 1-2 years
> 18-19 inch Circumference
Gauge:
> 13dc and 6.5 rows = 4” / 10cm
Pattern
Headwarmer:
R1. Using Colour A yarn Ch56, join with a slip stitch to beg ch to form a ring, ch2 (counts as 1dc) 1dc in each st around, join with a slip stitch to beg dc (56dc)
R2. Ch2 (ignore starting ch2 from here and throughout unless otherwise stated) Fpdc around ch2 from previous round, Fpdc around next dc post * Bpdc around next 2dc posts, Fpdc around next 2dc posts * Repeat around, join with a slip stitch to top of first Fpdc (56sts)
R3. Ch2, Fpdc around first 2 posts * Bpdc around next 2 posts, Fpdc around next 2 posts * Repeat around, join with a slip stitch to top of first Fpdc (56sts)
R4-R7. Ch2 (counts as 1dc) 1dc in each st around, join with a slip stitch to beg dc (56dc)
R8. Ch2 (ignore starting ch2 from here and throughout unless otherwise stated) Fpdc around ch2 from previous round, Fpdc around next dc post * Bpdc around next 2dc posts, Fpdc around next 2dc posts * Repeat around, join with a slip stitch to top of first Fpdc (56sts)
R9. Ch2, Fpdc around first 2 posts * Bpdc around next 2 posts, Fpdc around next 2 posts * Repeat around, join with a slip stitch to top of second Fpdc (56sts)
Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
R1. Using Colour B yarn Leaving an 18” tail, ch44, 1dc in 5th ch from hook, 1dc in same ch as first dc, ch2, 2dc in same ch * Skip 2 chains, work (2dc, ch2, 2dc) in next ch * Repeat across, turn (14 groups of (2dc, ch2, 2dc)
R2. Ch1 (does not count as a stitch) work 8dc in each ch2 space across (14 groups of 8dc)
Fasten off
Finishing:
> Thread 18” tail onto needle with right side facing and beginning with first petal start to roll the flower as if you are making a spiral and secure as you go with the stitches on the bottom of the flower, be sure to layer the petals evenly as you go and secure to headwarmer.
